Blockbuster new event to aid post-recessional business growth

The UK business community is waiting with bated breath for the launch of new business event that’s set to help entrepreneurs who’ve weathered the recession now grow their businesses to whole new heights.

Taking place at London’s Earls Court on Thursday and Friday, 18th and 19th November, 2011, The Great British Business Show will provide information, inspiration and support to businesses that are looking at ways of expanding.

With more than 140 seminars from business experts on every possible route to business growth; over 200 exhibitors offering specialist advice, services and know-how; and a series of live, interactive features, The Great British Business Show will be the UK’s largest event of its type. With high-profile entrepreneurs including Duncan Bannatyne, James Caan and Will King lending their support to the event, as well as masterminds and behind-the-scenes workhorses of some of the UK’s most successful businesses, this event is sure to be a highlight of the 2011 SME diary.

The event is completely free to attend, and will provide visitors with a comprehensive introduction to – and instruction in – key areas of business growth, including funding for growth, franchising, going public with your business, planning and implementing an exit strategy, expanding overseas, acquisition for growth, and more.

Although it is a fledgling show, The Great British Business Show is being presented by heavyweight UK business exhibition organiser, Prysm Group, which for more than a decade has been running large-scale business events including the UK’s largest event for aspiring entrepreneurs, The Business Startup Show.

Event director John Pearce says: “For 12 years we’ve had the honour of helping aspiring British entrepreneurs launch successful businesses through the Business Startup Show.

“Now, through The Great British Business Show, we are hoping to reconnect with many of these now-established SMEs, who have done the hard yards not only to launch, but to overcome the challenges that have been thrown at them by the recent recession.

“It can be difficult for businesses who have reached a certain level of success, to think outside the square and recognise ways they can build on their success,” John continues.

“It can sometimes mean stepping out of your comfort zone, and making a further investment in your growth, for greater returns in the long run.

"Business people do not always know where to turn to for assistance with their growth, which is why we have created this event.

“It will also be an opportunity for business people to celebrate that we’ve come out the other end of the recession – and we’re stronger for it. Why not now build on that strength? Come down to The Great British Business Show, and we’ll help you do it.”

The Great British Business Show will be run as a sister show alongside The Business Startup Show at the Earls Court exhibition centre on Thursday and Friday, 18th and 19th November. These complementary shows are bound to draw in some big visitor numbers, so visitors are advised to register for their tickets and their seats in the workshop halls and other special features early to avoid disappointment.

The Great British Business Show is completely free to attend. For free tickets and further information, visit www.greatbritishbusinessshow.co.uk or call 0117 930 4927 today.
