Roddy Barker is the director of brand new sales and marketing office, Phoenix Global Advertising, based in Bristol.
Roddy’s CV is quite diverse. Before finding his niche in sales and marketing, he was actually was working in the entertainment industry in North Devon. Despite having no sales or business experience, Roddy was taken on by sales and marketing firm Mantra Marketing in Bristol, who saw his potential, and allowed him to cut his teeth in the industry.
Now - three short years later he finds himself at the helm of his own business in the form of Phoenix, which is a new sister company to Mantra Marketing. Phoenix Global Advertising pro-actively markets and sells its clients’ products and services direct to consumers. In doing so, clients are provided with the very highest value proposition and maximum return on investment. The end user gets great value for money, the clients benefit from the most cost effective route to market, and the salespeople have the opportunity to earn uncapped high value commission.
Phoenix has already secured clients including national charities, SKY TV and various Energy Companies, and is looking to expand their client base. Roddy is looking forward to the challenges this new role holds: “I’m so excited to be running my first office - it’s such a fantastic opportunity and I’m now looking forward to passing on this opportunity to other people within my team,” Roddy says.

His goals are to save £100K in his first year and promote another office in order to take on more clients in the sports division. His personal goal is to buy his first house this year.
